Anderson-Price Memorial
Building

Originally built in
1916 by the Ormond Beach Woman's Club, the building became the
Anderson-Price Memorial Library building and served as Ormond's Library
until 1965.
In 2002 the
building was deeded to the Ormond Beach Historical Trust with the
condition that the Ormond Beach Woman's Club can hold their meeting at the
facility.

The Ormond Beach Historical Trust Inc. (The Trust) is housed in the MacDonald
House building
at 38 East Granada Blvd, just across from the Post Office.

Trust is the custodian for the Anderson-Price
Memorial Building, located at 42 N Beach street, listed on the National
Registry of Historical Places. This web site provides insight into the
OBHT and many other historical sites throughout beautiful Ormond Beach,

Mission Statement
Objective
The Trust objective is to preserve and protect the historical, cultural
and natural resources of the Ormond Beach area and to promote the
development and use of these resources through a program of public
education for the benefit and improvement of the community. To this
end the Trust will cooperate with and assist, where practical, other
organizations that support these same objectives.
Purpose
1.
The general nature of the objectives and the purposes of this corporation
is to obtain, preserve, exhibit and stimulate interest in the history of
and the historical objects relating to the city of Ormond Beach and
surrounding communities. The Trust (Ormond Beach Historical Trust Inc.)
operates as a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the Sate of
Florida.
2.
To promote the historic preservation, protection, and use of properties,
both real and personal, including, but not limited to land, structures,
artifacts, memorabilia and activities involving such properties that have
been in existence for extended periods of time, or that by their nature or
use, are of general historic interest to residents of the city of Ormond
Beach and surrounding areas, and;
3.
To aid, work with the participate in the activities of other
organizations, individuals and public and private entities located within
the outside Ormond Beach, organized for similar purposes, and;
4.
To pursue educational activities by publications, meetings, seminars and
other means, for the instruction of members and the public to enhance the
significance of, and appreciation for, preservation of the history,
culture, architecture and folklore of the city of Ormond Beach and
surrounding areas, and to foster a greater understanding of the value
thereof, and;
5.
To solicit, receive and administer funds for the proposed aforementioned,
including awards for scholarships or educational assistance to students
within the city of Ormond Beach and surrounding areas.
